Observation 102474: Pluteus chrysophlebius (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Sacc.

When: 2012-07-22

Collection location: Loyalsock Trail, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dave W (Dave W)

No specimen available

Except for the stipe color, translucent whitish to yellow tinged, agrees with P. admirabilis. (I forget the correct species name which Fredo has recently suggested.) Kuo offers a few suggestions for species names of small yellow Pluteus types.

Spore size agrees with P. admirabilis, approximately 5-7 × 4.5-6. Pleurocystidia look right for P. admirabilis.
