Large, round spores with broad-based pointed spines.

Strawberry tree and Manzanita?

That’s quite a combination, Christian. I know nothing of Strawberry tree, as it is seldom planted in my area (and survives). Manzanita is much more common, and Sclerodermas are associated with it.

A copper/metallic smell. Done any microscopy yet?
