From the first set of spore measurements, the western “A. ameripanthera” is eliminated as a possibility.

I returned

to the site 4 days later and found this grouping as well as many others which were scattered throughout the park under oak and under hemlock. Unbelievably all (even the buttons) were now bleached whitish, I guess due to heavy rains.
I will add some photos.
