Observation 102748: Russula brevipes Peck
When: 2012-07-24
( 2380m)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Not acrid, but did have a somewhat bitter taste. Bitter isn’t really the right word. The taste suggested that it would be acrid, but the hot feeling never arrived.

Most fruits were parasitized by Hypomyces lactifluorum, from observation 102745.
