Notes: HABITAT oldgrowth chaparral and conglomerate outcrops at top of high transverse ridge; SUBSTRATE north face of conglomerate cliff; ASPECT shaded; NOTES thallus greenish and very lumpy, abundant clustered black apothecia, rims raised shiny even smooth black, disks matte black contorted and flexuous, K- C+o KC+o UV+y weak 350-375nm, epihymenium green-black POL-, hymenium hyaline POL-, hypothecium red-brown POL-, exciple green-black ~POL+; SPORES ~15 × 7 µm.
