Notes: HABITAT oldgrowth chaparral and conglomerate outcrops at top of high transverse ridge; SUBSTRATE north face of conglomerate cliff; ASPECT shaded; NOTES cortex K~y? C~o weak KC+o UV-, apothecia disk and pruina K- C~o KC+o, apothecia pruina UV+y 350nm, disk strongly beige pruinose, epihymenium brown/opaque POL+ turning yellow and POL- in C, amphithecium POL+ not clearing in C, cortex opaque and POL+ clearing in C, algae sparse under disk but abundant in rims; SPORES 4 per ascus?, ellipsoid, ~60 × 30 µm.

Sonoran Flora simply doesn’t cover the saxicolous species in Ochrolechia.
