Notes: On soil under hardwoods. Cap diameter 1.5-3.5 cm. cap fibrillose, rimose, honey yellow-brown. Lamellar edges conspicuously white, fimbriate. Subbulbuous stipe. Odor of green corn. North American species most similar to the European Inocybe cookei.
