This was one of the eastern ‘shrooms I wanted to find while there. There were others, but I think this was the only one. Hard to just have a ’shroom in mind and then go out and find it. Of course I found lots of other stuff I didn’t know would be interesting, that is the way it goes…

Is that white fringe on the cap common to B. frostii? I’ve never seen that on a Bolete before.
