Notes: HABITAT recently burned open live oak forest near mouth of creek by ocean; SUBSTRATE smooth bark on young Quercus agrifolia sapling; ASPECT partly shaded; NOTES thin scurfy greenish crust, K+y KC+y C+y slow UV- to UV+ greenish under thallus, apothecia adnate flexuous thin disks, rims smooth narrow persistent white and shiny without algae, disk pale pinkish, epihymenium opaque and very thin, hymenium hyaline to 40-50 µm, hypothecium purely colorless, exciple hyaline formed of radiating hyphae, all POL-, algae under apothecium, ascus with relatively I- walls and thick square solid I+ blue thollus; SPORES 8 per ascus, oblong to fusiform, hyaline, smooth, all 1-septate, some bent, some constricted some swollen at septum, 10-14(-16)x(3.5-)4-4.5 µm.
