HABITAT recently burned open live oak forest near mouth of creek by ocean; SUBSTRATE upper side of scorched Quercus agrifolia limb in canopy; ASPECT partly shaded; NOTES thallus lumpy whitish, disks UV+ bright yellow-green, thallus K+y C- KC- UV-, epihymenium brown and granular and POL+ clearing in K, amphithecium with large POL+ crystals insoluble in K, rims filled with algae, cortex ~15-20 µm, hypothecium and hymenium colorless; SPORES 8 per ascus, hyaline, smooth, ellipsoid, ~15-16 × 8-9 µm.
