HABITAT recently burned open live oak forest near mouth of creek by ocean; SUBSTRATE upper side of scorched Quercus agrifolia limb in canopy; ASPECT partly shaded; NOTES K+y-r bright C- KC- UV+ dull orange, whitish lumpy thallus, discose, discs heavily pruinose; SPORES 2 per ascus, 100-150 × 30-40 µm, 5-10 µm thick smooth walls.
