Observation 10306: Sarcodon Quél. ex P. Karst.

When: 2008-08-14

Collection location: Jonesville, New York, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Notes:
Found under hardwoods. Mild taste, although it had a woody aftertaste, like chewing small sticks, not bitter. The green-grey-blue stipe base, seems to point to S. scabrosus, although that one is supposed to be bitter.
