Notes: This specimen is about 4 1/2 inches in diameter, has a slight rusty tone to the surface. It is alone in the median strip on Sacramento Street between Allston Way and Bancroft Way in Berkeley. This street is a principal thoroughfare through Berkeley. This puffball looks a lot like the specimen in Observation 87841 in image 3325. It is of a similar size, has similar scales and coloration on the surface.
