When: 2012-07-24

Collection location: Sarg Hubbard Park, Yakima, Washington, USA [Click for map]

Who: Drew Henderson (Hendre17)

No specimen available

Older specimen(note dried crispy sides) on black Cottonwood(Populus balsamifera) log.
More pinkish/peach colored than any slime mold of this sort that I’ve encountered West of the Cascades(eg. Fuligo septica, Mucilago spp.). This is distinctly a desert environment.

Found along Yakima river portion of the park.

Temp: 92,sunny.
