Observation 103460: Retiboletus ornatipes (Peck) Manfr. Binder & Bresinsky

No herbarium specimen

Notes: I really believe these are R. ornatipes. Just one problem… stipes are reticulate only near the apex, and close examination is required to see this. Longer stipe is close to 12 incles, if straightened. Each specimen growing from under a rock. No bluing of pores or context. Pores bruising orangish.

KOH: brownish-orange on cap, gray to whitish on yellow context in cap, orange on pores, grayish on context in stipe.

Spores 8-13 × 3-4.
