Notes: HABITAT chaparral on sea cliffs in small west-facing cove; SUBSTRATE trunk of Rhus in chaparral; ASPECT sunny; NOTES all K- C- KC-, no thallus visible, small black lecideine apothecia with thin even black rim, no pruina, epihymenium with black-brown-capped paraphyses tips, hymenium hyaline not inspersed, hypothecium brown, exciple with layer of dark cells at edge but otherwise of very small brownish cells; SPORES 8 per ascus, septate, gray-brown, smooth, 12 × 6 µm, evenly thickened walls.
