Notes: On decorticated hardwood log. Spores smooth with no germ pore, lamellae not crenulate, cap diameter 2.5 cm.

I find them difficult to distinguish as well, but this mushroom is different from the mushroom that I have previously called F. erinaceella (but that mushroom may indeed be P. granulosa): http://mushroomobserver.org/96828?q=V3eP
