Notes: Pores were pale pinkish with a few brown stains when fresh. More brown staining gradually appeared with handling and age. The pileus was slightly tomentose and slightly rimose towards the margin. Stipe had dull olive-brown reticulation above, and was pallid underneath. The stipe slowly darkened to the color of the reticulation with handling. Spore print reddish-vinaceous. Taste latently but extremely bitter. Odor of flesh somewhat farinaceous. Growing in a spruce-dominated forest.
