Notes: Growing in a large soccer field, photographed early in the morning, very fragile!
Found in the same field as obs – 73804.

Spore range = 14 – 16 × 8 – 10 μ
Average spore = 14.65 × 9 μ
Q range = 1.4 – 1.88
Average Q = 1.64
20 spores measured.
Pseudoparaphyses present
Basidia 4-spored
Capitulum range = 3 – 4 (6) μ from 10 measurements

It seems the Californian variety of this species may have larger spores then the European varieties, the spore measurements in MD match much better then the measurements in Flora Agaricina Neerlandica Vol 6.
