Notes: HABITAT open oak forest on steep north slope; SUBSTRATE rotten granitic rock; ASPECT mostly shaded; NOTES gray rimose crust, C+r, small dark red to red-brown to reddish-black discose sessile apothecia, rims absent or whitish and half-broken down, epihymenium dark yellow-brown, hymenium pale yellow-brown and shallow, hypothecium darker brown, asci particularly abundant; SPORES 8 per ascus, hyaline, smooth, elliptical, simple, large oil drop, ~20-23 × 10-12 µm.
