Dark, hazelnut brown capped fruiting bodies. White flecking on margin.
Stem: white, striated, thick- with pithy interior(not hollow like Rhodocollybia).
Veil: persistent, almost like hypogeus species in young specimens.
Gills: grayish and decurrent down stem.
Fruiting in small clusters/ nearly cespitose beneath Acer macrophyllum, Doug fir and Hemlock.
Temp: 88 sunny, clear.
