Observation 105057: Boletus variipes Peck
When: 2012-08-09
No herbarium specimen

Notes: A gregarious group of eleven basidiocarps growing under oaks. Could be from the same mycelium as that of Obs. #70538 from last year, though the two collections originated from oak trees about 30 yards apart. Macrochemical tests on cap suggest this B. variipes.
