HABITAT edge of oak forest on ridge at top of road cut high on north slope; SUBSTRATE base of Quercus chrysolepis; ASPECT mostly open; NOTES cortex K-, lower surface dark brown-black in center to white near lobe tips, abundant tiny short simple white to black rhizines, very closely appressed, small lobes, forming a large colony, soredia submarginal to laminal and finely granular and black.
