Notes: HABITAT shady oak forest high on north slope; SUBSTRATE Quercus chrysolepis bark; ASPECT mostly shaded; NOTES dark gray-green smooth to slightly verrucose thin crust, small black disk apothecia with thin even persistent rims, epruinose, K- C- KC-, epihymenium dark brown from abruptly swollen pigment-capped paraphysis tips, hymenium hyaline and not inspersed, hypothecium dark brown; SPORES 8 per ascus, 12-13 × 6-8 µm, septate brown when mature, evenly thickened walls? but slightly constricted at septum, smooth at all stages.
