HABITAT shady oak forest on north slope; SUBSTRATE granitic boulder by trail; ASPECT shaded; NOTES crust grayish of contiguous convex areoles, K-, apothecia round with smooth rims darker than thallus some with thin white margin, epihymenium deep green turning greenish tan in K, paraphyses 4-6 cells weakly to strongly inflated, spores 8 per ascus 25-28 × 13-15 µm, conidia 22-25 µm.
