Notes: HABITAT edge of oak forest on steep north slope; SUBSTRATE smooth Quercus wislenzii? bark; ASPECT mostly open; NOTES thin verrucose grayish crust over white background, K+y C- KC- P~y weak UV- 350nm or UV+ on white background, scattered round convex apothecia, disk pale yellow to beige to pale red-brown lightly pruinose, rim smooth even becoming very thin shiny-waxy, epihymenium faint brown clearing in K with sparse coarse POL+ granules on top clearing in K, hymenium hyaline POL- not inspersed, amphithecium finely POL+ throughout clearing in K with coarse POL+ crystals in lower cortex not clearing in K, cortex ~20-30 µm on side to 50-80 µm below; SPORES 14-20 × 6-9 µm.
