Notes: HABITAT open oak-conifer forest at base of very steep rocky north slope; SUBSTRATE base of Pseudotsuga macrocarpa; ASPECT mostly open; NOTES pale gray verrucose thick thallus, both cortex and medulla K+y C- KC+gold(?!) UV- 350-370nm, black discose apothecia, disc flexuose epruinose, rims black prominent even smooth, epihymenium dark brown POL-, hymenium hyaline inspersed?, hypothecium dark brown POL-, medulla POL+, paraphyses with dark brown pigment caps on abruptly swollen tips; SPORES ? per ascus, ellipsoid, gray to brown at maturity, 2-8 cells submuriform, ~20-22 × 12-13 µm.
