Notes:
HABITAT shady oak-conifer forest on north slope; SUBSTRATE weathered wood of old Pseudotsuga macrocarpa root; ASPECT shaded; NOTES thallus immersed, apothecia adnate and tiny, rims tan, disk dark red-brown, K- C- KC- UV- 350-375nm, epihymenium brown fading a little in K POL+ clearing in K, hymenium hyaline not inspersed, hypothecium hyaline, amphithecium full of algae POL+ clearing in K, cortex thin and brown on top to 15-20 µm wide hyaline below, paraphyses somewhat branched with last three cells not or slightly swollen; SPORES 8 per ascus, simple, hyaline, smooth, oblong, 8-9 × 3-3.5 µm.
