Look for forking toward the cap margin and note that the gills are rather elastic and not brittle like most Russulas.
That certainly clarifies things.
this one is easy as far as Russula go… Cap color is green to purple and everything in between and the gills fork repeatedly. No other Russula that looks like this does that in the northeast (that I know of)
