Observation 105328: Amanita submaculata Peck

When: 2012-08-11

Collection location: Coopers Rock State Forest, West Virginia, USA [Click for map]

Who: Noah Siegel (Noah)

Specimen available

Notes:
This one reminds me of Amanita submaculata, but I’m not to sure. It was fairly large, 11cm cap on the large one, a little orange-brown staining on the UV and PV, fruity odor and growing under oaks.
