Fruiting singularly and in small clusters at stream edge. Rather large silver/purple cortinarius with tapered base—not bulbous. Stipe: slightly fibrillose metallic/silver purple hue.

Cap: Umbonate with darkened center.
Gills: greyish purple with deep- rust spore remnants on remaining arachnoid cortina.
