Observation 10586: Agaricales sensu lato

When: 2008-08-03

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

It might also be a small puffball, but it looks like a button-stage agaric to me. The poor thing was already under attack by slugs before it could open — what a waste of a million spores! Bad timing on some mycelium’s part.
