Notes:
The top of the cap looks like a polypore, so I didn’t expect to see gills when I picked it up.

On hardwood.

Pileus trama and lamellar trama interwoven, elements 2.5 micrometers.

Pleurocystidia absent. Cheilocystidia infrequent, clavate/ovoid.

Few spores present, if so, approx 3 × 5, hyaline, smooth.
