the youngest specimens in the picture were “dry.”
it is completely possible that the pins i noticed were a completely different species fruiting right next to these…

the largest specimen is about 10 cm high.
the cap is about 7 cm wide and the stipe is 3 cm wide.
the young specimens were slimy, which is why i thought L. decastes was a good possibility…
