Notes: Two slender stalked Inocybe with a fibrous striate pileus. Picture has scale. Growing from soil in mixed deciduous woods. Nodulous ellipsoid spores 12.1 × 7.6 microns with protrusions up to 3 microns long. 20 spore average Q=1.49. Pleurocystidia were abundant, some encrusted some not. See photomicrographs for shape. Very slight yellowing of some cystidia in 5% KOH, but not nearly as intense as some other Inocybe species I’ve examined.

it is not Inocybe asterospora but has 99% similarity with an “Inocybe aff. nodulosa” sequence in GenBank.
