In caestipose group on wood chip path, 3-8 cm; cap grayish tan oac648 to 676 with small scales, 3.5 cm (partialy opened), bluntly conical/cylindrical, lightly striated radially; gills white becoming black, very close; stipe 2-5 cm x 1 cm, white, fleshy

spore print in progress. Any advice on how to check this further/to species?

Thanks for the website; will check it out.

I have C. lagopus elsewhere on the land. The current specimen is much more fleshy and substantial. One of the disadvantages of id’ing from pictures . Will keep trying.
