Observation 10733: Galerina vittaeformis (Fr.) Earle
When: 2008-08-19
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Found on moss, under d. fir, spruce and aspen. Actually found a number of these, and I’ll just toss out photo here for now.

9/29/2008 – Getting back to these.

Looking under the scope it turns out these are G. vittaeformis var. vittaeformis f. tetraspora. They are the same as obs. 11601, although found ~100 yards away (in the same d. fir/spruce/aspen mixed forest, on the same type of moss on the ground, not on wood or moss on wood.). For more details you can look at that obs.

At some point I need to separate the G. vittaeformis obs here between the 2-spored and 4-spored forms.
