Observation 107449: Boletus orovillus Thiers & Kowalski
When: 2012-08-28

Notes: These were found by Lonna Richmond of Muir Beach who contacted me for assistance in iding.
They were growing on a old stump, most likely from a Monterey pine.
They were somewhat over the hill but the staining reaction was still pretty dramatic.
The spores were ~ 6.0-7.2 X 3.8-4.2 microns and ellipsoid to oblong. Q(ave) = 1.64.
