Observation 10746: Pluteus petasatus (Fr.) Gillet

When: 2008-08-19

Collection location: Jemez Mountains, Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Found under spruce, ponderosa pine and aspen. These don’t have the brown colors of P. cervinus, and P. petasatus seems more common in the montane regions. I should put them under the scope to make sure at some point, maybe.
