Recognized by sight: Honey colored, appears to be growing on wood. White mycelium on the stipe is common in Armillaria. Gills are a bit more widely spaced than is typical, but not out of the range of possibility. Appears to lack a veil, but so does A. tabescens.

look a little distant for Lentinula. Those of both L. raphanica and L. boryana are said to be “close to crowded.” (Mata at al. 2001) Strange basal stuff on the stem too…
