This mushroom has more of a “porcini” stature, NOT the typical Xanthoconium affine stature. Furthermore, the reticulation is not very conspicuous and not even remotely brown — it’s cream and almost concolorous with the stipe. Also, the pores appear to be “stuffed”, which to my knowledge is a feature not associated with X. affine.
