Yep, look in ‘Mushrooms of Hawaii’ on page 63.
“white when young and becoming grayish green in spots with age”
The LAST sentence says C. alba is pure white.

it coulda been any number of Campanella.

This sp. was the one depicted in the Hawaii book.

Seeing your photos brings back good memories of mushrooming in the big island. The Hilo side and the Volcano areas are where I found most of what I saw. Some of my favorite spots was looking at Hygrocybes etc at the exit of the lava tube at the volcano only about 30 feet away from the tube. I also like the Beach park near hilo, very small but had lots of stuff. Good luck, have fun and see lots of stuff.
