East coast Callistosporium luteo-olivaceum are a lot more luteo than the western ones…

Taste was bitter and habitat was a broadleaf log.

The color appears too bright for Callistosporium luteo-olivaceum. Did you check it with KOH? I wonder if it’s one of the many, yellow Tricholomopsis that grow on wood.
