Notes:
Pinkish cap color favors L. pubescens var. betulae. Non-staining latex favors var. pubescens.

Note how the bearded cap margins almost form a partial veil over the gills of the unexpanded caps.

the frequently forked gills point toward torminosus. The one character that seems to not fit is the browish spotting on the gills. Mixed birch/conifer habitat fits torminosus.
