Notes: Found under an apple tree in the Sierra Nevadas at 3500 ft. Surely a “puffball” of some sort, but not one I could find in my books. Gorgeous interior, golden and green with lines of mauve. Faded slowly in the sun. Unfortunately, the pictures do not do it justice.
