Notes: Usually I have only found these on live oak leaves. But here they are on tan oak leaves. So who knew?
I’ll change my lists to have the correct spelling.
Arora is simply wrong. There are many errors in that massive book, but none of them are fatal. It is still the best book for the west coast and his 732 descriptions are OUTSTANDING.
Well, I’ve been keeping lists of species found, and I started the list with the info from Arora. And there it is — quercophyllus (2ed p. 206), and so it is in my species list. But I do see here and at Mykoweb it is listed as quercophilus. So, not sure what to go with here, and someone should explain to me why one is better than the other…
