Thallus crustose, rimose-areolate, whitish; Apothecia black, with a thin thaline greyish/brownish rim when young and disappearing with age, outer part of thaline rim pruinose. Some parts of thallus presented a ferruginous colour.
Hymenium hialine (I-); epihymenium greenish, hypohymenium dark-brown. No spores observed.
