Observation 10896: Mutinus bambusinus (Zoll.) E. Fisch.,
When: 2008-09-10
No herbarium specimen

Notes: On 10 September 2008, I received a call from a local reporter, he told me he saw an unusual finger like organism in Mitauli of Kheri district Uttar Pradesh India, I reached there and took some photographs of this species. I observed and found this is a Mutinus bambusinus (Phallus fungi) I think It’s first record in India.

This fungus is growing in the base of mud wall in a home of villager at Mir Sahib Purwa Village of Kheri India.

Please confirm my observations I am right or wrong.
