Observation 109069: Chlorophyllum molybdites (G. Mey.: Fr.) Massee
When: 2012-09-08
Who: waveshroom
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These mushrooms were plentiful in the Mission lawn, occurring with a crop of puffballs, and mostly growing within the greener grass inside the puffballs’ circles. The warts on the cap are not pyramidal, and they appear to be part of the cuticle, but they rub off easily. The stalks gradually widened to the base. There was no bulb. Spore print pale green. The print lightened with age and had the effect of turning grass stalks (in situ) light green.
