Observation 109076: Phallus ravenelii Berk. & Curt.
When: 2012-09-07
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Scattered in leaf litter mixed in with wood chips inroduced last year. Lots of eggs and emerging or decaying fruitbodies. This patch has been fruiting for about a month now, with no end in sight. The largest stinkhorn species I’ve even seen. I dubbed them “Phallus maximus”. :-)
